The ancient Irish kings used harpists to entertain them so harpists held great prestige in high society.
The Irish Harp is the national emblem of Ireland. One of the oldest harps, dating back to the 14th or 15th century is on view at Trinity College, Dublin. Before the Tricolor was named the national flag in 1919, the first unofficial flag of Ireland featured the Irish Harp. It also currently serves as the flag of the President of Ireland and appears prominently on all of Ireland’s Euro coins.
The earrings hang from a sterling silver ear post which has a 2mm round Connemara marble cabouchon inset.
They have a drop length of 22mm and a width of 17mm. The weight of the earrings is 3.3 grams.
Genuine Connemara Marble. Please note that as marble is a natural stone and so some tones and shades will vary.

It's a great stop to visit. Aengus, Fiona and Ann are wonderful hosts. They give guests a brilliant insight into Crystal making every little thing is explained and then guests get to see a craftsman cutting a piece freehand. It's truly amazing to see it done
